Fourth of July Ribs

INGREDIENTS 

-1 rack of baby back pork ribs

-1/4 cup of brown sugar

-1.5 Tbsp chili powder

-2 teaspoons onion powder

-2 teaspoons garlic powder

-2 teaspoons salt

-2 teaspoons black pepper

FOR THE BBQ SAUCE 

-1/4 cup of dry rub mix from above

-1 Tbsp butter

-6 Tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)

-1 clove of garlic, minced

-3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

-2 Tbsp soy sauce 

-2 Tbsp Honey

-1 Tbsp sriracha 

-1 Tbsp ginger, minced 

-1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 

METHOD

-Preheat oven to 275

-Pat ribs dry and remove membrane

-Combine spices and sugar to make dry rub

-Thoroughly rub ribs

-Place ribs in roasting tray and cover with tin foil. Cook in oven covered for 3 hours

-Remove tin foil, paint sauce over ribs and continue cooking uncovered for 20-30 minutes

TO MAKE SAUCE

-Place a pot on med heat and add butter

-Add garlic and ginger and cook for 45 seconds 

-Sir in 1/4 cup of dry rub

-Add in vinegar and stir until sugar is dissolved

-Add remaining sauce ingredients, reduce heat to low, and simmer until sauce thickens
